Minister Bénédicte Linard’s mission

Ms. Bénédicte Linard, Minister of Childhood, Health, Culture, Media and Women’s Rights of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, will be on mission in Quebec City and Montreal from March 8 to 11, following her participation in the annual meeting of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York.

The minister will conduct field visits to report on good practices in three of her priority areas: culture, media, and childhood. A specific focus will be placed on the cross-cutting themes of sustainability and accessibility.

On March 8, 2023, International Women’s Day, Ms. Linard will also participate in the opening of the photographic exhibition: “SaKiFe – Kivu: women and health” (Democratic Republic of the Congo) by the Belgian photographer Christophe Smets, presented for the first time in North America – in partnership with Doctors of the World Canada and the at the National Assembly of Quebec – at the National Assembly of Quebec from March 6 to 30, 2023.
