Biography
Clyde Lepage is a Belgian visual artist based in Brussels. Through photography, performance, videos and words, she weaves a story that is rooted in her personal experiences and nourished by her political commitments; notably feminist, which she claims in performances in public space, but also ecological and activist. The document, traces and memory are regularly summoned in his work which plays on the boundaries between realities and imagination, political issues and everyday poetry. It focuses on territories, the relationships that are made and undone there and the beings that inhabit them - human, animal, plant, non-organic - the strange and the unexpected. Life and interspecies links occupy an important place in all of his work. Since 2019, she has participated alongside Lucille Calmel in research on Frart (FNRS), the animal that therefore I am, which explores interspecies creative collaborations, envisaged through performance art and digital tools. clydelepage.wixsite.com
